Arraiolos is a town with 3.380 inhabitants in Évora district in Alentejo Region. It´s famous for its circular castle, embroidered wool rugs and carpets. Arraiolos rugs have been made since the Middle Ages.
The residency is located in the center of the town, in a XVIII century manor house.
The 750m2 area for residency has:
5 or more work spaces
800m2 garden and courtyard
The residency can be used by single artists, couples of two applicants or workgroup (15 people max).
The residency has WIFI in some areas and is equipped with basic furniture and necessities for living.
In partnership with the Imagem Impressa Printing Association of Arraiolos, Córtex Frontal artists could use their printing facilities.
The access to the print studio will be conditioned by the Imagem Impressa Association.
In partnership with the Casa das Artes Cultural Association of Arraiolos, Córtex Frontal artists could use their dance studio.
The access to the dance studio will be conditioned by the Association.
